New Frankoma Museum

Recommended Posts

For those of you who haven't heard, Frankoma now has a museum in their factory store in Sapulpa. This collection is on loan from a local collector and consists of more than 5,000 pieces of Frankoma pottery, much of it from the very early years). The collection is so large that it is rotated out with about 1/4 on display at any one time. You can see the museum free during store hours. It's really a must-see for Frankoma fans. And please bring your friends......

Joe is right, the display at the Frankoma factory is a must see for any Frankoma collector. My wife and I visited during the FFCA reunion in September and it was a real treat. It's so great to see so many older pieces in so many glazes. If you are ever in the Tulsa area you have to go.

Even if you saw it as recently as September, there's still a lot more to see. The store refurbishing is largely complete. Over 100 Made in Oklahoma products from 30 vendors have been added. There are a number of new products - including a Frankoma ceramic Christmas tree (the one with the light inside and plastic bulbs) and some new Christmas ornaments. Inventory levels are getting back to normal. And, of course, there are still factory tours on request.
