Elephant Planter I.d.

Recommended Posts

Hello all, my wife and I found this planter on one of our antique outings. First off the glaze compares exactly under a magnifying galss to one of our Norman mark early prairie green ringed bowls, second the clay is a dead ringer for Ada. This combo was the reason we bought it but I have never seen it in any of our refrence books. There is one on Ebay exactly like it that was said to be Frankoma but they were not sure. I am not convinced that it is but am putting it out there in case someone might know who made the piece. It is about 8" long, 4" high and is hollow on the top where the saddle is. Inside here you can really see the clay as on the bottom of the feet and it sure looks like Ada clay. Anyway any info would be great.
