Jerry's Adobo Sauce

12 ancho chiles

2 dried chipoltle chiles

3 T. chopped garlic

1 T. mexican oregano

2 T. ground cumin

1/2 t. ground cloves

1/2 cup cider vinegar

1/3 cup sugar

2 t. salt

1 T. cinnamon

1/4 cup orange juice

1/4 cup chopped cilantro

Stem and seed chiles, soak in warm water 1 hour. cover with a dish to keep chiles submerged

Save water from chiles.

In a blender add chiles, and all remaining ingredients. Blend til smooth, add water from chiles, a little at a time, if needed, to make a smooth paste. Almost pourable.

Add more sugar to your taste, if desired.

Marinade meat for 24 hours, before grilling. Excellent for pork fajitas.
