Praline Cookies

4 tablespoons butter, softened

1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed

2 tablespoons instant coffee powder

1 egg, well beaten

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup coarsely chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Melt butter over low heat. Combine in a medium bowl with the brown sugar. Stir in the instant coffee powder, and add the egg. Blend well. Stir in the flour and pecans.

Drop onto greased or buttered baking sheets by half teaspoonfuls about 1 inch apart. Bake in preheated oven 10 minutes. Loosen edges of cookies with a spatula, and cool on racks until crisp. Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
