Hatchery Needs Halloween Helpers

Recommended Posts

ATHENS—Staff at the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center are gearing up for Halloween at the Hatchery on October 26, and they need the help of local businesses and organizations.

Local businesses and organizations are invited to have a trick-or-treat candy booth at the event from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. The booth is free, but exhibitors must provide enough give-away candy for 3,000 to 3,500 children. Halloween at the Hatchery provides local families a safe, enjoyable trick-or-treat experience.

TFFC will collect $1 for admission and donate the proceeds to the Rainbow Room of Henderson County and the Henderson County Humane Society. Guests can visit the Trinity Valley Community College Drama Department haunted house for an additional $1.

Anyone interested in participating in this community service event should contact Mona Farmer at (903) 670-2228 to reserve a space.
