In Search Of "the Tamale House" Soft Taco Recipe

Recommended Posts

Anyone here remember the place. You could get the best soft tacos and other tex mex stuff and eat it by the river. The soft tacos were flour w/ meat and beans. There is a new location or two but I am not sure the origional owners son uses the same recipe? I have been trying to nail this recipe but I'm missing something in the meat seasonings. Anyone know anything?

Joe

I've lived in Austin since 1987, and unfortunately that may have been before my time. Maybe someone else on TexasCooking from Austin will know. Good luck! If you ever find out, let us know!
