John Bennett Pottery Story In The Newspaper

Recommended Posts

Fans of ceremics and Homer Laughlin might find this little story in the New York Times about John Bennett Pottery interesting. Bennett was a British immigrant who operated a thriving ceremics workshop in Manhattan in the 1870s. His mercurial personality apparently made him difficult to work with. Here is the story:

A Potter's Second Bloom

Also, a descendent of Mr. Bennett, Robert Kelley of Lake Worth, FL, has compiled research of the enterprise into a very interesting blog, http://johnbennettpottery.org/
