Fiestaware In Santa Cruz

The Cellar Door, a new restaurant in Santa Cruz, California, uses colorful Fiesta dinnerware dishes for their place settings.

Cellar Door and the Bonny Doon wine-tasting room share a 3,000-square-foot space, the design and décor a combination space station, barn and giant wine cask, all in one hip package. Deep rust-colored walls play off colorful Fiestaware table settings, brushed chrome, weathered wood and a Cigare Volant UFO suspended mid-air. The result is brilliantly quirky, a trademark style of its owner, Bonny Doon Vineyard's acclaimed winemaker Randall Grahm.
