Macaroni And Cheese

This recipe is for kids, I hope your kids will love this.


.2.5 cups medium shell or elbow noodles

.2 Tablespoons flour

.2 tablespoons butter

.1 cup milk

.1/4 teaspoon mustard

.1 1/4 teaspoon salt

.1/8 teaspoon pepper

.3 cups sliced/shredded cheese

.bread crumbs

.2 quarts water with 2 teaspoons salt


.Preheat oven to 350 F.

.Put 2 quarts of water with 2 teaspoons salt in pot and bring to a boil.

.Add Medium Shell noodles or Elbow (macaroni) noodles and cook according to package directions. (usually about 8 minutes), drain and set aside.

.Meanwhile, in a small-medium saucepan, melt butter. whisk flour into butter and let it bubble for 1 minute.

.Add 1 1/4 tsp salt, pepper, mustard and milk.

.Stir with whisk and cook until thickened over medium heat.

.Add cheese to mixture and stir as it melts.

.In a 2 quart baking dish, add noodles and pour cheese mixture over top. Using a spoon or spatula, stir gently to mix the cheese and noodles together.

.Sprinkle a layer of seasoned bread crumbs over the top.

.Bake uncovered for 40-50 minutes.

.You may add more milk or cheese when reheating leftovers.
