Widow Maker Pitcher...what Can You Tell Me?

Recommended Posts

I purchased quite a large lot of Frankoma at an estate sale earlier this month. The piece that actually caught my eye was a pitcher with an owl on it. I have found a picture of it in the Gary Schaum book that identifies it as a Widow Maker Picture made for the Club Trade Winds in 60-61. Can anyone give me more info? Thanks!

If yours is the one made for the Club Trade Winds, it is a very collectible item. Check this out. (http://tulsatvmemories.com/frankoma.html)

However, make sure yours is the correct version. I believe that those have 'Club Trade Winds' written on the bottom and only a very limited number were produced (about 2 dozen). I've heard of prices in the $1,000 range. The Widow Maker pitcher without the signature is less valuable.

Ok it's been like three years since I posted the original post above. I have some pictures and more info about my Bird of Paradise Pitcher. It has a T12 on the bottom. Here is a picture I put up on the Frankoma collector facebook page http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=200313966768581&set=o.45635304145&type=1&theater

I am looking for a buyer if anyone is interested. I can also send more pictures if you want.
