  1. Fans of ceremics and Homer Laughlin might find this little story in the New York Times about John Bennett Pottery interesting. Bennett was a British immigrant who operated a thriving ceremics workshop in Manhattan in the 1870s. His mercurial personality apparently made him difficult to work with. Here is the story: A Potter's Second Bloom Also, a descendent of Mr. Bennett, Robert Kelley of Lake Worth, FL, has compiled research of the enterprise into a very interesting blog, http://johnbennettpottery.org/ Enjoy!
