Without fail these baked beans are the best on any coast from east to west.
They are tested, tried and true for 40 years or more. They are best in one of those old fashioned glass casserole dishes and look great at a party all dressed up with bacon strips.

3 - 4 cans medium size pork and beans or 2 large cans.

about: - (more or less)
1 cup Ketchup
1 cup Brown sugar
1 onion cut up
1 green pepper cut up : ADD more or less of all of these to taste

Lay strips of bacon on top (about 4)

Bake at 350 degress about one hour or less.

Depends on how much you want. This is for a regular size casserole you can add more beans.

We do ours a little different, but the taste is wonderful too! Instead of Ketchup we add regular yellow mustard and we don't add the green pepper.

The mix of mustard and the brown sugar is wonderful. You just have to play with the amounts. My problem with the way I make stuff is I don't measure anything and am usually full by the time dinner is served from trying and adding stuff. :D

I do my baked beans about the same, but add a little mustard and half the brown sugar, but add dark molasses. They are thick and very good.
