I found this site and was hoping someone would help me regarding a Frankoma "It's a Joy to Belong" white plate (GC?) on back. It has a Clown in the center, marked 1986 and 1987 with Dorothy-Oklahoma-John also on the front. Do you think this item would be worth listing on eBay? Thanks for any help given.

Sounds like some kind of a commemorative plate, although I'm surprised that there would be 2 years on it. If it were an anniversary or wedding, there would only be one year.

In general, commemorative items don't bring much (if any) more than the item they're based on, so your plate wouldn't have much value -- UNLESS you can find the group that issued it and see if they might have an interest. Or perhaps you could find a Dorothy and John who those dates mean something to, but that's a pretty long shot. I couldn't find anything with a google search.

Can you post a picture here (mostly out of curiosity)?
